The CityChasePart Obstacle Course! Part Scavenger Hunt!
The World's Largest Urban Adventure Series!

2009 is the year for Canada, World Champion of City Chase

In addition to winning The Mitsubishi City Chase Powered by BlackBerry in Toronto last August (with over 1000 Chasers), and their subsequent victory at The epic North American Championships in Quebec City this past September, Jeremy and David Crane once again prevailed!! The brothers beat the odds against 8 other teams/countries from around the world, competing in a 56 hours epic adventure in Salta, Argentina, and were declared the official 2009 City Chase World Champions.
Those who ventured to Salta claimed that Canadians have much to be proud of; the Crane brothers defeated Team Singapore by less than 10 minutes, after more than 56 hours of racing. Second and third place winners Singapore and Portugal, returning World Championships competitors, regarded the race as "the most challenging to date." The teams participated in 25 unique ChasePoints including Gaucho activities, racing go karts on a professional track, surviving a 4-hour boot camp facilitated by the Argentinean Army, biking 60km through steep winding roads in the mountains and stifling heat, flying over a river on South America's highest 750 m high zip line, and camping on a deserted island. "The start of the race alone was breathtaking and memorable," recalls Danielle Perron, Vice President of City Chase Inc. The welcoming parade included government dignitaries, Inca traditional dancers with a tribe elder, a local marching band of over 200 players, confetti guns, fireworks, and thousands of people lining the street to welcome the teams. Perron credits the amazing partnership between Argentina Tourism, the City of Salta, and the Saltenean kindred spirit and hospitality for the true success of the race. After celebrating in South America for the next few days, the Crane brothers will return to Canada on Monday December 21st, and are looking forward to sharing stories about their Argentinean adventures. As World Champions, David and Jeremy have won a trip to a Right To Play project and will experience first hand how they have helped to create a healthier and safer world for children through the power of sport and play.
